This is restaurant has a wonderful ambience. The service from the bartender was great too! She was very attentive and friendly! I absolutely loved my main course - Pappardelle ai Funghi e Olio Tartufato! The noodle was home made and tasty along with the mushrooms and a white sauce. I would not order the breaded cauliflower again since it was very bland and needed seasoned…. But had I not ordered that I would have given a 5 star review! I will be back to try the pizza which I was told was very good.

A Downtown Oceanside gem! Great atmosphere and service! My wife have been multiple times over the past several years, and the food has always been wonderful. The owner stops by the table and checks in. Such a nice touch. The combination of terrific food and just a welcoming feeling makes the Blade our go-to place for a date night. Love it!

We came here on a Friday night about 630. We did not make reservations. The girl in the front offered us a spot at the bar but realized we had our teenager with us. Took our names and said it would be a 30 minute wait. We walked outside and my husband was saying he couldn’t wait that long. He walked back in and asked them to remove us from the list. The man there so no, we will make this work, do you mind sitting outside? No problem. Give me 5 minutes. We came back inside and we’re seated immediately inside!! I was shocked but super pleased they had made space for us on such a busy night. The room is super spacious and beautiful decorated. Love the lighting and atmosphere of this place. Our waiter Evan was super pleasant as well. I ordered the special, butternut squash raviolis, husband had meat raviolis and teenage had pesto. We also had bruschetta and one glass of wine and two soda’s. Total bill with tip was $123.00 Everything was delicious and warm. Everyone finished their meals with smiles on their faces. We were all very satisfied. Next time though I’d make reservations 😊 wished I would’ve taken pictures of the inside but you’ll just have to see it for yourself. Love this place for a great Italian meal. You will not be disappointed.

Blade 1936 hosted a fantastic milestone birthday for our boisterous group of 30 people. We reserved the back room in a custom table configuration. It wasn't a typical layout but they were accommodating and happy to try our approach. There is nothing more they could have done to make such a great night possible. The cocktails were excellent. We enjoyed Lisa Bella's, Manhattans, and other cocktails, and wine. The food was outstanding. Starters were Bruschetta, Pizza Margherita, and Pappardelle Alla Bolognese. Main courses were Bistecca Di Manzo Alla Brace (ribeye steak) and Salmone Alla Griglia Con Erbette (salmon) and both were excellent. Our friends are still talking about the food. Best of all, our server Sean was pulled in a dozen different directions throughout the night and never missed an opportunity to take great care of our friends. He was diligent, friendly, and responsive. He and his team worked hard to serve our loud and enthusiastic crowd. The service made the night for us. Of note, we also dined there before and after the party with the same high quality experiences. We live in Austin but I'd be tempted to make some trips just to go back. Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, delicious.
